About the opportunity
Working in a residential setting, the role of Youth Mental Health Recovery Worker will work with and assist young people aged 16-25 years, who have a mental health diagnosis that it disrupting day-to-day living, to better manage their mental health and personal wellbeing in a way that is meaningful to them. You will work as part of a team to provide a comprehensive range of care and support to young people.
About you
As a Youth Mental Health Recovery Worker you will have experience in the Mental Health and Human Services sector. You must be committed to working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team of medical practitioners, counsellors, social workers, other youth workers, nurses and volunteers.
You will work in partnership with the young people to identify and create a vision for their future as they move towards independence in the community of their choice. The aim is to build personal resilience and community connections as young people transition out of a residential setting.
