About the role

  • Be an advocate for change
  • Join an innovative & vibrant fundraising team
  • Footscray location

To work at the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre (ASRC) is to be an advocate for change and the chance to make an extraordinary difference in the lives of people seeking asylum. The ASRC is at the very coalface of a collaborative, diverse and powerful movement aiming to restore and uphold the rights of people seeking asylum. Working with the refugee sector and people seeking asylum, we demonstrate the impact of harsh and unjust policy to the people who make the laws and seek to influence positive change in legislation. ASRC sees first hand the impact of government policy on people seeking asylum and we give voice to those stories in the media and the community. ASRC is the largest provider of aid and support services to the refugee and the asylum community.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in ASRC’s community movement for change. Reporting to the Director, Fundraising & Marketing, you will steward and develop a pipeline of prospects and qualified donors including Major Donors, High Value Donors and Private Ancillary Funds. Your efforts will directly impact ASRC’s beneficiaries as you increase significant gifts to enhance opportunities to financially support the work of the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre. You will be empowered to build the major gift fundraising strategy and pipeline and play a vital role in engaging donors towards rewarding and meaningful involvement with ASRC.

A highly successful fundraising background is required to achieve income growth and reach aspirational targets, along with your ability to build strong cases for support, convey compelling stories and confidently present opportunities to donors. Understanding of Salesforce CRM, CFRE, FIA Certificate or Diploma in Fundraising is highly regarded.

APPLY NOW if you are major gifts fundraiser with a track record of success and commitment to making a significant impact to the lives of asylum seekers.
