About the role

Business Manager

  • Professional membership and education organisation
  • Challenging, multi-faceted leadership role
  • Proven, disciplined finance leader

Your career record is marked by your wide-ranging senior roles in financial management, successful prioritising and delivery of multiple projects, development and implementation of strong financial management reporting metrics, and your proven communication and team motivation skills.

This role requires an experienced finance executive who is prepared to move well beyond the conventional core responsibilities to work closely with the CEO and management team to strategically design the architecture of a growing and vitally important department.

Your new not-for-profit organisation is a vigorous, highly respected national educational and membership organisation in the professional medical sector with strong linkages to associated educational and professional bodies, nationally and abroad.

Reporting directly to and working closely with the CEO, you will assume the primary responsibility with a small professional team for all aspects of the national finance function.  This includes all budgeting, planning, financial and management reporting; full Board reporting; prudential advice in audit, finance and risk; IT advisory; project analysis, advice and reporting; and wide-ranging liaison with an array of specialist committees and external financial, legal and government relationships.

You will bring strong financial, organisational, project management and relationship development skills, and demonstrate both commercial style and political astuteness. Tertiary qualifications and professional membership (CPA/CA) are required.

Location is next to major transport in Sydney CBD in a modern, well-appointed office.
