Doncare, Doncaster Community Care and Counselling Centre Inc., has been part of the fabric of the City of Manningham for over 50 years providing community support services to vulnerable and disadvantaged children, adults and families.  With the vision of an inclusive safe community where all in need are offered the support they require, Doncare provides personalised services including counselling, family services, social support, child mental health assistance, family violence prevention and recovery, crisis support and emergency relief.

Working with the Doncare Board, who are committed to empowering clients, staff and volunteers, the new CEO will shape and grow services in response to community needs whilst fostering community connectedness through social support programs and volunteering. 

The role:

The CEO is responsible and accountable for achieving Doncare’s Strategic Plan. In managing the day-to-day operations, the CEO will ensure Doncare functions effectively and efficiently whilst achieving its objectives and upholding Doncare’s values. This will be achieved with a focus on:

• Best practice governance and organisational leadership
• Financial management including budget formulation and implementation
• Leading operations and developing people to strengthen service delivery and expand Doncare’s capabilities
• Nurturing and establishing stakeholder relationships to influence policy and funding outcomes

Skills required:

You are an experienced CEO or senior manager with a strategic focus, accomplished in diversification and delivery of sustainable growth. An inspirational leader with proven people management capabilities, you are dedicated to community and building the capability of others. You have strong business acumen and a record of engaging and establishing positive partnerships with government, business, peer organisations, networks and the community. You are passionate and forward thinking having success in a similar organisation.

This is a Full time / Part time (minimum 4 days per week) role commencing late March 2020
