Advert Summary

Are you passionate about young people’s mental health? We are seeking an engaging and enthusiastic team member to plan in deliver community awareness activities across our centre and local community.

About the role

Part-time (0.8) to Full-time fixed term position available until 30 June 2021

Working within a supportive team, including dedicated young people and staff, the headspace Community Awareness Officer will develop, deliver and evaluate awareness raising, community engagement, and youth participation activities in the local area with a focus on promoting early help-seeking for mental health, drug and alcohol, and other health/social issues facing young people. The successful applicant will hold tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and be able to demonstrate experience and skills in the development, implementation and evaluation of community awareness programs.

As a guide, remuneration of $50,000 – $60,000 per annum (pro rata) is offered, dependent on skills and experience; NFP generous salary sacrificing opportunities are also available to the successful candidate.
