Who we’re looking for
If you’re a Service Access professional, qualified as either Social Worker, Youth Worker or Allied Health Professional, enjoy variety in your day, and working closely with other service delivery professionals, you might be exactly the person we’re looking for!

As part of our headspace team based at Narre Warren, EACH is looking for an Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician to provide access allocation as part of the Intake Duty process, involving handling new r eferrals, doing phone screening and seeing walk-in appointments making a huge difference to the lives of young people.

What you’ll be doing
The Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician position is a crucial role within the headspace Dandenong, Narre Warren, Pakenham & Hastings services, and will be required to undertake a number of activities including but not limited to engaging, screening and providing limited brief interventions for young people, their families, and carers. This position will work in conjunction with the headspace Intake team and partnering agencies. As the point of access to headspace for young people & other community members, this position will complete a comprehensive screening assessment of young people, coordinate supported referrals and provide therapeutic holding and brief intervention. This person will also assist in the development and delivery of therapeutic groups.

As the point of access to headspace for young people & other community members, this position will complete a range of screening assessments of young people via phone and walk-in appointments, as well as coordinate referrals and provide single session support.

Who you’ll be working with
The Intake and Brief Intervention Clinician is accountable to the Intake Team Leader and sits within the Intake Team. The position will be primarily based at the Narre Warren headspace centre, but the flexibility to work from other headspace service sites will be required.

Working with other professionals at headspace within a variety of disciplines, our team is dedicated to giving clients the best possible support.
