About the role
Role Overview
This is an exciting new role bringing together a variety of existing roles to strengthen carer recruitment and support across a variety of out of home care programs. Initially this role will be a combination of direct hands-on service delivery and leadership, moving to a more predominant leadership role in the future. You will be responsible for implementing strategies to increase carer recruitment, satisfaction and retention. You will explore opportunities for wider community connections in order to provide active involvement and support to children in out of home care.
Incumbent Overview
You will have strength in understanding the impact of trauma for children and adults and you ensure your practice is underpinned by this framework of working. You will have a solid understanding of developmental theories and have a natural affinity to form great connective relationships. You are able to undertake quality assessments and to seek consultation when required.
You understand that the environment for children to thrive is connected to safety, stability and great quality relationships with their Carers. You are open to ongoing learning and passionate about making a difference in the lives of children in the Out of Home Care sector.
