Accountant

The Accountant is a key member of the RCH Foundation’s Finance Team, which is responsible for the day to day financial operations of the RCH Foundation. The position works closely with the Management Accountant to coordinate all regular functions of the organisation and supports the Chief Financial Officer in the preparation of reporting and long range planning.

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Essential

• Tertiary accounting qualifications plus professional certification in Accounting
• Minimum four years’ experience in a similar role in a fundraising environment; or the NGO sector
• Demonstrated experience with financial reporting requirements
• Demonstrated data entry management and general maths skills
• Demonstrated interpersonal and relationship building skills with a sensitivity to stakeholder coordination
• Excellent written and verbal communication, with a high level of accuracy
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to work under own initiative
• Effective time management and problem solving abilities working under own initiative to meet strict deadlines
• Display initiative and a pro-activeness to workload
• High level of maturity and ability to exercise discretion in dealing with sensitive information
• Commitment to the RCH Foundation’s values and a working style that reflects these

Desirable

• Experience in MoneyWorks finance package and Salesforce database
