School for Life believes in the transformative impact of education and aims to provide a high-quality education to those who need it most. 
  
Established in 2008, School for Life now has over 1,100 students enrolled across 3 schools and employs over 110 locals across all of its educational and related operations in Uganda.
  

The Role
  
Reporting to an inspirational CEO, the Fundraising & Marketing Executive oversees various revenue streams, including individual and regular giving, child sponsorship, cash donations and events. With a focus on direct marketing and digital campaigns, the specific responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage donor acquisition, conversion and retention programs to achieve revenue growth in line with strategic plans
  • Manage external agency relationships through supplier negotiations and account management
  • Promote education and community outreach programs to sponsors and partners
  • Increase peer to peer fundraising opportunities via prospect research and specific campaigns / appeals, including eDM and social media channels

 
 
Skills Required
  
A passion for working as part of a strong fundraising culture, delivering an outstanding experience for donors is key to success in this role.  You can successfully build relationships and have the ability to develop marketing strategies to inspire new and existing donors.
  
With an ability to convert leads and prospects into tangible individual giving outcomes, you will also have experience in campaign and event management, with the ability to quickly identify and nurture prospective partners.
  
You must be able to commit to a 12-15 month fixed term contract, starting as soon as possible.
