About the organisation

Organisation Name : The Hunger Project Australia

The Hunger Project is a global, non-religious, non-profit organisation working to end world hunger. We believe that hunger can end, and ours is the generation that can eliminate it once and for all. In Africa, South Asia and Latin America, The Hunger Project empowers people to lead lives of self- reliance, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children. We believe people who currently live in poverty are not the problem – they are the solution. We don’t see a billion mouths to feed, we see a billion human beings who are enterprising and resilient. We call upon their creativity and encourage courageous leadership. Through training and education, the organisation empowers local villagers to take effective and sustainable action in the areas of health, education, adult literacy, nutrition, improved farming and food security, microfinance, water and sanitation and HIV/AIDS prevention.

About the role

Are you seeking to make a difference to our world? Right now an opportunity exists with The Hunger Project Australia (THPA) to play a vital role in an innovative and dynamic global NGO that mobilises individuals and organisations to end world hunger by 2030. They believe that hunger can end, and that ours is the generation that can eliminate it once and for all. In Africa, South Asia and Latin America, The Hunger Project empowers people to lead lives of self- reliance, meet their own basic needs and build better futures for their children. They believe people who currently live in poverty are not the problem – they are the solution. THPA don’t see 815 million mouths to feed, they see 815 million human beings who are enterprising and resilient. Their work is to unlock their leadership, creativity and capacity so that they can be the key to ending their own hunger. For further information, please click here.

THPA’s unique view on how leadership can create powerful shifts in mindset and behaviour is also shared domestically with individuals and corporates, through a wide range of experiential leadership programs, business partnerships and immersion programs and workshops. These programs allow individuals and corporates the opportunity to unlock the same resilience and capability in their own lives and in the lives of their people.

Reporting to the CEO, your role will be the strategic management and growth of this suite of world class leadership programs. In particular, you will be responsible for Business Development, Relationship Management, Design and delivery of Immersion Programs and Marketing and Fundraising.

You will be a tertiary qualified leader with a minimum of 8 years’ experience, ideally in organisational transformation, learning and development or people and culture programs. Your demonstrated relationship management skills will be complemented by your proven ability to strategically develop programs with the senior leadership of corporate partners.

If you are passionate about using your creative and entrepreneurial approach for a greater purpose, THPA offers a unique opportunity to play your part in ending world hunger.
