About the role
Wellbeing, safety and respect for all children and families is the Cafs (Child and Family Services) vision. An independent, community owned and governed not-for-profit with no religious affiliations, Cafs provide services throughout the Ballarat, Hepburn, Moorabool, Ararat, Golden Plains and Pyrenees regions. Delivering a comprehensive range of programs to support children, families and individuals, their key services focus on early help and prevention, targeted support and ongoing assistance.
The purpose of the newly created position of Manager, Service Outcomes and Practice Leadership is to enhance the oversight and leadership of Cafs practice approach with a strong focus on outcomes for clients. Along with your team, you will play a vital role in connecting the services Cafs offers, through the way they engage with clients, the models of practice used and the way practitioners are supported and supervised.
Your key deliverables will be to:
- Oversee and support Cafs responses to Child Safety Concerns and take a lead role in providing expertise and support in the area of CIMS and Reportable Conduct
- Develop and lead Cafs psychology services including looking for opportunities to extend service delivery
- Develop, monitor and continually review practice frameworks/paradigms with regard to client practice and supervision to ensure implementation and consistency of service delivery
- Provide supervision and guidance to the Service Outcomes and Practice Leadership team to develop and implement cross-program support for consistent approaches to client practice, supervision models and the best ways of working with clients
- Role model the values and positive behaviours of Cafs, embedding a positive culture across your team and the broader organisation
- Ensure compliance with client data, Cafs policies, procedures and frameworks, funding and program budgets while maintaining a focus on continuous improvement
Qualifications in Social Work, Welfare, Psychology or a related field plus formal training in professional supervision/reflective practice are essential for this role. You will also need to demonstrate a proven background in leading people within a complex and demanding environment. The ability to consider activities, decisions and outcomes from the perspective of the client; coupled with accountability, well-developed decision making and problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach are all key attributes for success in this role.
