About the role
The Chief Executive Officer will be in a unique position to see out the current strategy and to simultaneously work with Philanthropy Australia’s Board and community to develop and implement the 2022-2025 strategic plan.
As the new leader of Philanthropy Australia, the ideal candidate will:
- Be an advocate for best practice philanthropy, provide thought leadership for the philanthropic sector in Australia and help shape the philanthropic agenda;
- Have the ability to build strong relationships across the philanthropic sector with various stakeholders, including PA members, corporates, government, not-for-profit groups, key sponsors, trusts and foundations;
- Be an effective communicator, coupled with a track record for managing media and public relations;
- Have a strategic mindset coupled with a dynamic, contemporary leadership style and well-honed people skills;
- Possess strong commercial acumen and the ability to grow PA’s membership and engagement;
- Be experienced in working with a Board; and
- Promote impeccable ethics, humility and personal integrity.
The role will be based in either Melbourne or Sydney.
