They offer the community a wide variety of services including 5 early learning centres, sporting programs, large group accommodation centres and after school care.

 

About the role

As the People and Capability Manager you will have full visibility across all the business’ services. This is an opportunity to join a reputable organisation with a dynamic team with an inclusive culture.

You will be challenged and supported to achieve business goals while having direct contact with the CEO to take the business to the next level.

The Role:

As the People and Capability Manager, you’ll be able to take your skillset to the next level and have a real impact within the organisation. You will be involved in both the strategic and operations side of the business including industrial relations, WHS, human resource and capability functions across the organisation.

You’ll be a leader in the organisation, and take control and ownership of the HR function, reporting directly to the CEO, and liaising with other business and services leaders.

Responsibilities would include:

  • Providing high level, current industrial relations advice consistent with YWCA Canberra’s values and culture
  • Oversee key HR functions including recruitment, performance review and assessment process
  • Strengthen the organisation’s approach to industrial relations, management and workplace gender diversity to further advance YWCA’s mission
  • You’ll negotiate the Enterprise Agreement and implement and oversee other HR functions including WHS and recruitment.

The Person:

You are an experienced People and Capability Manager who is a strong collaborative innovative leader, with the ability to negotiate with and influence a broad range of people. You focus on being innovative, creative and finding solutions.

You will demonstrate empathy and be passionate about seeing employees thrive and have sound knowledge and practical experience in industrial relations.
