About the organisation
The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria Inc. (ECCV) represents the voices of multicultural Victoria. Our purpose is to help build a culturally diverse and harmonious society that is just, fair, and inclusive for all Victorians.
About the role
An exciting opportunity exists for a suitably qualified Policy and Practice Advisor to play a lead role in joining up social policy and community practice at ECCV. Under the direction of the Policy and Advocacy Manager, the Policy and Practice Advisor offers specialised knowledge to inform and help implement ECCV’s policy advocacy priorities. This role requires the design and implementation of high-level research projects, production of a diverse range of policy publications, and participation in advisory groups and research and policy networks on behalf of ECCV. The Policy and Practice advisor functions as a ‘knowledge translator’, ensuring that both ECCV’s policy advocacy and practice are well informed by evidence and reflect the learning generated by each area. Excellent writing and research skills, ability to work collaboratively, and understanding of monitoring and evaluation are essential for this position.
The position is 0.6FTE and remunerated at Level 6 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHCDSI) Award 2010.
ECCV is an Equal Opportunity Employer. Suitably qualified candidates from a non-English speaking background are strongly encouraged to apply.
