With over 180 staff, Cram’s Head Office is based in Shellharbour, NSW with a number of our homes located in the Illawarra and Shoalhaven Region of NSW.

About the role

The Board is keen to hear from people with experience in any of the following areas:

  • Risk Management
  • Finance
  • It and Technology Management
  • Lived experience of disability.

The Board of Management comprise of 8 Directors acting in a voluntary capacity to oversee the governance, financial and strategic direction of the organisation. Directors are expected to attend Board meetings (6 x per year), contribute to one of the Board subcommittees (4 x per year), participate in a strategic planning day as well as participate in any other events or governance related activities identified by the Board. Cram is seeking persons with an interest in disability services, knowledge of effective governance and strong community engagement.

The Practice Review Committee (PRC) is an advisory committee that advises and assists the Board in its oversight of Cram’s practices and services to clients with a disability. The PRC is seeking someone with an interest in quality approaches to disability service provision and client outcomes. The role is voluntary and meets no less than 4 times per year.

The Risk & Audit Committee (R&A) role is to analyse and consider financial audit and risk management aspects at a level that provides confidence and clarity to the Board that risk and financial management is appropriate and effectively governed. The role is voluntary and meets no less than 4 times per year.

The HR Committee’s purpose is to assist the Board in its oversight of Human Resource and personnel related performance and governance along to ensure The Cram Foundation is acting within the law and in accordance with external and internal policies. The role is voluntary and meets no less than 4 times per year.
