About the organisation

Organisation Name : Mary's House and the Daisy Centre, North Shore Women’s Benevolent Association (NSWBA)

The Organisation

North Shore Women’s Benevolent Association (NSWBA) began operations in 2016 providing quality refuge accommodation through Mary’s House for women and their children leaving domestic violence.

A second service, the Daisy Centre provides information, advice, referral, case management and therapeutic group work to support women who have experienced domestic violence but do not require refuge accommodation.

NSWBA is completely funded through private and community donations and does not receive government funding. The Mater Hospital in North Sydney is a major partner of NSWBA.  Community engagement is focussed on both fundraising to support operations and raising community awareness to identify and prevent domestic violence.
