About the Opportunity

MoneyMob Talkabout is currently looking for a full-time Community Development and Financial Education Team Leader to join their team in Alice Springs, NT, with extensive remote travel to APY Lands. This role is being offered on a fixed term contract to 30 June 2021, with the possibility of extension subject to funding.

Reporting to the Community Service and Practice Manager, this is a hands-on role that will see you responsible for the training and ongoing support of Financial Capability and No Interest Loan Scheme (NILS) staff, as well as case managing clients as necessary.​​​​​​​

You will also be overseeing MoneyMob‘s new Whitegoods for Wellness project, which aims to assist at least 100 Anangu households to acquire a fridge and/or washing machine through a subsidised NILS loan. These items of “health hardware” are considered essential for healthy living and the prevention of diseases such as scabies and skin sores, which can lead to chronic diseases such as kidney failure later in life. NILS loans are a safe and supported way for people to acquire these goods.
