Gymnastics Western Australia is the governing body for the sport of gymnastics in Western Australia. The Association has 46 member clubs, 5 associate members and over 17,550 athlete members (2019). Located just out of the city centre in Leederville, the Association vision is for Gymnastics to be the foundation of movement for all. Gymnastics WA provides the opportunity for participation in gymnastic programs, competitions, development programs and activities which are accessible, no matter the experience, skill or age.

Gymnastics WA's focus on core values of LEADERSHIP, INTEGRITY, TEAMWORK, RESPECT and EXCELLENCE will be at the forefront of everything that you do in this role. Gymnastics WA's overarching strategic objective is to deliver a significant uplift in registered and engaged clubs, participants, coaches, judges, members and fans - which drives local, national and international success and partnerships.

About the role

Reporting to the Board through the President, the Executive Director provides leadership, direction and overall management of all activities, business operations and services delivered by Gymnastics WA. The role also works with the Board in the developing and implementing of long term strategy, to achieve the organisation’s vision.

In addition to operational excellence the role has a focus on building participation and membership, whilst developing and maintaining partnership between stakeholder groups, commercial, funding partners and Member Clubs/Associate Members.

To be considered for this role you will have a track record in strategic leadership, staff and operational management with a focus on member services. Experience or training in finance and/or law would be beneficial for the position.
