About the role
The Executive Director, Philanthropic and Community Investment is a newly created full-time executive position reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer of the Royal Women’s Hospital. As head of the hospital’s Office of Philanthropy and Community Investment, the Executive Director will spearhead the organisation’s new strategic approach to fundraising and donor investment, and drive a culture of philanthropy, innovation and donor value across the entire organisation.
About the role: The Executive Director will be an integral member of the hospital’s executive team and work closely with the CEO and the Women’s Board to establish a new and highly-effective fundraising enterprise. Leveraging the Women’s considerable profile and reputation as a world-leading tertiary hospital for women and babies, this person will work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders to connect philanthropic partners with the story and vision of the Women’s.
About you: You are a highly respected, proactive leader, who inspires confidence, and is capable of building a high-performing and results-driven team. You have extensive experience operating at an executive level and building fruitful philanthropic relationships that exceed strategic and business gaols. To be successful, you will need a solid record of achievement working with a diverse range of constituencies, with demonstrated experience influencing and driving highly successful fundraising results. An understanding of the contemporary philanthropic environment, best practice donor partnership approaches, and the ability to influence cultural change will be highly regarded, as will experience in the health sector or similar. |
