About the role

  1. Position: Full-time, Ongoing
  2. Location: Werribee
  3. Salary: $94,599 to $98,553 (Depending upon skills and experience)

Team Leader positions will oversee staff delivery of the following:

  • 1:1 trauma-informed assessment and counselling to Aboriginal women, men, and children who are impacted by family violence
  • Monitor groups with Aboriginal children will create positive and age appropriate entry points for them to engage and to heal their understanding of their parents, family, and history were impacted by family violence
  • Monitor groups with Aboriginal adolescents will provide a platform for them to speak to other young people in a meaningful and relevant way and change behaviours

To be considered for this role you must demonstrate:

  • A tertiary qualification in social work, psychology, family therapy or a related discipline or a Certificate IV in a relevant field
  • Have a strong understanding of the complex nature and dynamic of family violence including the impact of family violence on Aboriginal women and Aboriginal children
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities
  • Relevant experience in the family violence or related sector
