About the role

Foodbank Queensland is the largest and most trusted hunger-relief charity in Queensland. Our vision of a Queensland without hunger and our mission is to deliver the most food, to the most Queenslanders in need, in the most efficient and effective ways.

Foodbank Queensland supports Queenslanders in crisis by rescuing and sourcing more than 14 million kg of food and groceries from farmers, manufacturers, and retailers each year. This food is then distributed through a network of more than 250 Queensland front-line charities across the state to feed more than 240,000 Queenslanders in crisis each month. Foodbank Queensland also runs a Schools Breakfast program, delivered in over 250 schools; this program feeds more than 67,000 children every week.

With a refreshed strategic vision, the Foodbank Queensland team is expanding to ensure that no one seeking food relief is turned away because current demand is outstripping supply. To tackle this challenge and improve the lives of food insecure Queenslanders, we are seeking an experienced Marketing & Communications Specialist to join our team.

This role will see you as an integral part of the Foodbank Queensland team and responsible for the success of all Foodbank Queensland marketing and communication activities. We are looking for a passionate, highly motivated professional to plan, create and implement internal and external marketing campaigns that drive stakeholder engagement and enhance brand awareness. This role requires meticulous time management and the ability to deliver various tasks within deadlines.

To be successful, you will connect deeply with the ethos and purpose of Foodbank Queensland’s mission and have demonstrated experience within a marketing and communications role. You will be a talented storyteller, energised by content creation and possess strong end to end marketing skills. Previous experience in the use of Salesforce would be highly advantageous. You will also be able to collaborate and be a highly engaged, creative thinker who enjoys being part of a close-knit team.

This opportunity is a 5 day a week permanent role and offers a great salary along with not for profit salary packaging.
