The Role
The Mental Health and Wellbeing Coordinator reports to the Program Manager Intensive Support (this role is a job-share) and is responsible for coordinating the delivery of mental health and wellbeing programs by combining their knowledge and understanding of homelessness with the specialist mental health sector and knowledge of Aboriginal people.
The MHW Coordinator oversees a team of support workers across a range of locations, (Collingwood, Fitzroy, Frankston, Cheltenham and Dandenong) and is responsible for ensuring that the support provided to consumers is consistent, effective and maximises the consumer’s capacity to gain and maintain suitable housing and engages with supports available to them in the community.
This position will be based at the Collingwood office but will be required to have a presence across the Southern region; including at least one day per week at the Cheltenham office.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have extensive operational experience within the homelessness and/or mental health sector, and/or Koori communities. You will also have leadership qualities including a high degree of initiative and analytical skills. You must hold a tertiary qualification in human services, social work, mental health or other relevant discipline.
