The Ethnic Communities’ Council of Victoria Inc. (ECCV) represents the voices of multicultural Victoria. We are a community based, member driven peak body for ethnic and multicultural organisations committed to strengthening and building our community through advocacy and leadership, empowering people from culturally diverse backgrounds.

About the role
A unique opportunity exists for a highly credentialed Policy & Advocacy Manager to lead a key portfolio for the ECCV, driving the organisation’s policy work and advocacy strategy across multicultural Victoria. Reporting to the Executive Officer and guided by the Board’s strategic priorities, the position produces and oversees the development of a range of evidence-based positions that can translate into agreed actions with the aim of influencing change and improving outcomes for culturally diverse Victorians.
An integral member of the management team, the Policy & Advocacy Manager works closely with other operational leaders to ensure ECCV remains at the centre of dialogue in Victoria regarding the needs and aspirations of multicultural communities. The role is responsible for staff supervision and the development of key strategic frameworks that best support the ECCV in its policy, advocacy, engagement and communications work.
The position is 0.8FTE and remunerated at Level 8 of the Social, Community, Home Care and Disability Services Industry (SCHCDSI) Award 2010.
