About the role

The Property & Assets Assessor is to inspect and provide condition assessments on all Haven; Home, Safe (HHS) owned property assets and accurately determine and assess when required the planned, responsive and vacated maintenance requirements for HHS properties. Some duties and responsibilities for this role include some of the following:

  • Accurately determine and assess the maintenance requirements for HHS owned property assets and ensure work requirements are delivered according to HHS policies and procedures.
  • Undertake initial assessments and provide expert advice and recommendations for disability modification requests and major building rectification or asset protection activities as required.
  • Participate in asset build, purchase and disposal activities by providing expert advice and recommendations on proposals, conducting inspections which includes new construction inspections with relevant stakeholders and documenting outcomes as required.
  • Provide property advice and support, and where appropriate seek further clarification from relevant field specialists, contractors and tradespersons.
  • Keep accurate and complete records of your work activities in accordance with legislative, HHS records, information security and privacy policies requirements.
