About the role

The Role

Evolve Housing offers you the opportunity to be part of an innovative and dynamic team that is focused on the delivery of new and revised policies and procedures that support our Company’s strategic vision. You will be instrumental in creating and updating clear, consistent and fit for purpose policies across all business units but more specifically in our new program initiatives.

You will be working under the direction of the Assistant Company Secretary (ACS) and will be responsible for liaising with various divisions of the business to create and develop policies and documents that will be referenced by staff, clients, statutory authorities and other external parties.

Working collaboratively with relevant stakeholders to understand their needs and help align these to our strategic plan, you will be instrumental in articulating and helping to operationalise these policies clearly throughout the business.

The Right Person

Use your strong research, analysis and policy writing skills to create robust policies and procedures that support our strategic vision. You will need to be adaptable and flexible to meet tight deadlines and effectively tap into your project management skills. You will be highly proactive and seek to research new information to improve policy development and create innovation.

Your well-developed interpersonal skills, supported by your strong communication skills and collaborative approach will be a valued attribute. You are methodical, logical and able to interpret and collate information in a clear and concise manner. You have a sharp eye for detail and enjoy policy writing and research methodology.

You will need to be a self-starter, energetic, someone who embraces and relishes change and challenges and be committed to producing quality policies and documents in a timely manner. You will need to be a great team player, patient, an active listener and someone who is motivated and passionate about contributing to the organisation.

 

Essential Selection Criteria

  • Demonstrated experience in research, analysis and policy writing skills;
  • Ability to interpret and convey information, both written and verbal in a clear, concise and consistent manner;
  • Project management experience and the ability to meet tight deadlines;
  • Demonstrated application of effective and appropriate communication skills at a high level, including written skills, cultural sensitivity, listening and interviewing;
  • Understands, respects and demonstrates sensitivity towards cultural and social diversity
  • Demonstrated experience in interpreting and analysing government policies and regulations;
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as an effective team member, with a commitment to build a supportive and collaborative team culture;
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to quickly grasp new information and systems;
  • Willingness to obtain a National Criminal Record Check;
  • Right to work in Australia
  • Ability to proficiently use computers and office technologies
  • Previous experience in NFP or Community Housing Sector would be highly regarded
