About the role

This newly created role will be primarily responsible for leading Teach For Australia’s (TFA’s) work to grow an effective, equity-focused community of program Alumni. The Community Lead will incentivise and support members in the building of networks that address the shared goals and objectives of the TFA community – strengthening the foundations of the community from the first point of attraction, throughout the program and into Alumnihood. With this role, we aim to advance our vision and mission by pursuing improved Alumni community health and engagement outcomes, and by extension driving greater student, school and system impact over the long term. Note: This role can be worked remotely from anywhere in Australia. 

 

About You

  • Minimum of 5-7 years professional experience, with a minimum two years of experience training, developing or coaching adults.
  • Experience in building and managing a community – building networks and collective alliances amongst individuals with shared vision.
  • An experienced relationship and stakeholder manager – with a strong influencing and networking aptitude
  • Outstanding communication skills
  • Experience in long term or project planning, and implementation
  • Demonstrated commitment to our vision and Core Values
