Salary Packaging

The Australian Taxation Office (ATO) allows Public Benevolent Institutions (PBI), such as Lutheran Community Care, to offer special tax concessions. These concessions allow an employee to salary package a maximum of $15,899 from their gross salary each Fringe Benefit Tax (FBT) year.

About the role

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the Management Team at Lutheran Community Care (LCC) as General Manager Development and Quality.  LCC is a leading community services organisation with over 50 programs across South Australia and the Northern Territory. We support communities through responding to the needs of individuals and families, community development, learning opportunities and, accommodation and support.

About the role

Reporting directly to the CEO you will add an entrepreneurial and innovative approach to LCC’s service growth and development.  With a particular emphasis on program growth, viability and future planning you’ll have a sound understanding of the social and political community services landscape combined with a high attention to detail and excellent business and tender writing skills.  Working both autonomously and as part of a team, no two days will be the same and your ability to manage your own time will prove invaluable. As well as attention to detail, you’ll need some impressive data management and analytical skills and proficiency across the MS Office suite. It goes without saying you’ll need to be a great communicator, able to explain complex regulations to others in a warm and friendly manner, and confident in yourself and your judgement.

Stepping into this role, you’ll be integral to LCC’s ability to manage and continuously improve the quality of services we deliver to the community and our clients.  You’ll oversee the delivery, management and reporting of all LCC’s quality and policy systems and processes including review and evaluation.  

You will thrive in this role as you:

  • Identify potential funding sources and partnership opportunities and lead the development and writing of tenders and grants
  • Collect and analyse data and evaluation reports to improve planning processes and services provided
  • In partnership with the relevant business unit/s, achieve and maintain audit and compliance requirements e.g. ASES
  • Ensure quality management systems and a culture of continuous improvement is actively supported
  • Build LCC’s profile and capacity through various projects e.g. RAP, Trauma Responsive Services

What you will need

You’ll find yourself drawing upon those 3+ years’ of funding and grants manager experience with previous experience in assessing tender grants and contract management a must.  Your business acumen and knowledge of the community services sector will ensure that you are able to hit the ground running. Your communication skills will be put on full display as you liaise with a huge variety of internal and external stakeholders.
