About the Job
As the Gift and Data Processing Officer, you will be responsible for the university’s gift processing and administration, as well as providing support for event registrations, and data queries, with a scope to improving procedures and processes for better service outcomes.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Data Services, you will process donations to the university, record these on the fundraising database and produce gift reports and analyse data as required. The role will also be responsible for key internal data imports, as well as processing new constituent records, ensuring data is recorded correctly on the database. 

The Gift and Data Processing Officer will support data requests from within Alumni Engagement, Events and Development teams, and from the wider university. Timely processing and high levels of accuracy are essential. 

This role sits within the Swinburne’s Alumni & Operations Unit and will liaise regularly with Alumni Engagement, Events and Development colleagues, as well as with others across the university, to support divisional and university goals. 

About you 
To be successful in the role, you will have:
• A finance or accounting degree with subsequent relevant experience; or extensive experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
• Experience in gift processing using a complex relational database system (Raiser’s Edge preferred)
• Experience querying data, segmentation and providing data on excel spreadsheets
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, including planning, scheduling and reporting to deadlines
