About the role

Dementia Australia is the national peak body representing the 459,000 Australians living with dementia and almost 1.6 million Australians involved in their care. Formed in 2017 after bringing together all state and territory organisations, Dementia Australia advocates for the needs of people living with all types of dementia, for their families and carers, and provides support services, education and information. The organisation supports the countries top dementia researchers to find treatments, disease altering interventions and one day a cure. They are committed to achieving a dementia-friendly Australia where people with dementia are respected, supported, empowered, and engaged in community life.

Dementia Australia is looking for a Team Leader – Fundraising Campaigns to join their fundraising team. Reporting to the National Campaigns and Community Fundraising Manger and leading a team, you will develop and lead the campaign strategy for Dementia Australia’s flagship campaign, Memory Walk & Jog, as well as develop a new community focused fundraising campaign which will create a new fundraising stream for Dementia Australia.

As well as leading, developing and implementing effective campaign strategies, you will manage the participant journey, acquisition strategies and continuously ensure a high level of supporter care. You will have a participant centric approach and use traditional and digital channels to acquire and steward growth. You will play an important role in the conceptualisation, implementation and review stages of all campaigns. By developing excellent relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including event and campaign sponsors and partners, you will proactively strive forward to achieve win-win outcomes, campaign deliverables and increase fundraising income.

You will be a creative and highly organised fundraiser with demonstrated success in developing campaign vision, planning and digital marketing in the NFP sector. A genuine interest in the charity sector and awareness of FIA and ADMA Best Practice is highly regarded.
