About the role

We’re looking for a professional Senior Manager Monitoring and Learning with relevant experience who wants to join our 2,000+ team of staff and volunteers to make a difference on a permanent full-time basis, working 38 hours per week based in Fitzroy.

THE ROLE
 
The Senior Manager – Monitoring & Learning will oversee the successful implementation of the BSL’s Impact Framework and the establishment of supporting systems, processes and standards across the BSL’s diverse service portfolios. This will involve embedding resources and practices that enable services to make sense of and learn from their monitoring data to improve decision making, enhance program effectiveness and effect systemic change.
 
To achieve this, the Senior Manager will build strong working relationships with service managers and practitioners – leveraging their expertise and building their capacity – to employ monitoring practices that are meaningful and reflect the diverse goals, needs and capabilities of our services. 
 
The Senior Manager will contribute to cultivating an active learning culture across the BSL where we routinely engage with data to ask powerful questions and evidence the continuous improvement and targeted scaling of our service models. 
 
Salary will be in the range of $100,000 to $107,378.00 per annum, based on skills and experience plus superannuation.

To be considered for the role and be successful in it, we are looking for a Senior Manager Monitoring and Learning who has the following key skills and experiences:
 
• Postgraduate qualification or specialized training in a field with an emphasis on monitoring, and / or learning such as, economics, psychology or other social science;
• Extensive experience undertaking monitoring and / or evaluation within human and community services, including establishing data collection and reporting practices;
• A track record of successfully delivering a portfolio of projects and managing large-scale change initiatives;
• Experience working with practitioners and developing resources to build M&E capability 
• Excellent written communication skills including an ability to develop content using appropriate mediums for a range of publications and audiences;
• A passion for developing, understanding and harnessing evidence to improve service delivery, inform decision making and influence policy design and reform to end poverty.
