About the organisation
Victorian Blue Light Youth Camp (VBLYC) is a not-for-profit organisation established to support Blue Light Victoria in their objective of providing programs and opportunities to promote healthy development, inclusion, and wellbeing for young people, and particularly young people from disadvantaged backgrounds.
VBLYC provides purpose designed, outcome focused camps and activity programs for young people from its camp facility in Maldon, 136km northwest of Melbourne. Hailing back to 1987, the camp is a $1.8 million purpose-built facility that replicates the original Derby Hill Gold Mine once located on the site. The camp can accommodate up to 85 students and includes a range of outdoor activity facilities including a climbing wall, mini golf range, and an activity course.
VBLYC is recognised as a leading provider of Bike Education programs which provide participants with the skills and confidence to safely ride bikes whilst promoting physical activity.
About the role
