SHDH provides a wide range of acute inpatient, community rehabilitation, aged residential, domiciliary and primary care, dental services and General Practice, including outreach programs to several small outlying communities.

About the role

The Operational Manager, People and Culture will be accountable for all aspects of HR management activities and is responsible for continuous strategic and operational improvement in the human resources function. This includes but not limited to workforce planning, organisational development, talent acquisition, retention strategies for both staff and volunteers, integrating HR systems, developing and implementing HR and work healthy safety policies and practices.

To meet the requirements of this exciting career opportunity you will hold a tertiary qualification in Human Resources Management or other appropriate disciplines (Post-graduate qualification desirable). This will be supported by extensive experience (5+ years) and a comprehensive knowledge of contemporary HR practices: In particular, you will be able to demonstrate an understanding of relevant legislation, particularly employment law and the ability to interpret legislation, enterprise agreements and policies.
