Launch Housing is an independent Melbourne based community organisation passionately committed to ending homelessness. From providing high-quality housing to an innovative range of support, education, and employment services, we bring solutions to homelessness under one roof for thousands at risk or experiencing the crisis and trauma of homelessness. With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

The Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Support Worker to join our Elizabeth Street Common Ground (ESCG). ESCG is an innovative approach to housing people who have experienced long term homelessness. ​

As a Support Worker you will be is responsible for the development, implementation and ongoing monitoring of support plans as well as work in close partnership with other ESCG and ancillary staff, using a team-based approach to ensure the effective coordination and delivery of services for ESCG tenants.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in providing community-based support within the human services sector. You will be able to demonstrate maturity, insight, flexibility, initiative and have the capacity to willingly engage with people to build rapport and trust. You will also have good interpersonal skills including strong verbal and written communication.
