The Brotherhood of St Laurence has a clear vision – an Australia free of poverty.

As a well respected not-for-profit organisation that will soon celebrate its 90th year, the Brotherhood of St Laurence strives passionately towards systemic change that will prevent and alleviate poverty in Australia. Engaging with the most vulnerable people in our community, the Brotherhood of St Laurence supports disadvantaged people of all ages to build better lives for themselves.

With over 2,000 staff and volunteers, Brotherhood of St Laurence’s team offers an opportunity for a Trusts & Foundations Manager to expand the current portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Fundraising, this integral role will understand, prioritise and build an ongoing pipeline of funding opportunities from philanthropic Trusts and Foundations and Grant-Making bodies.

Managing and prioritising the application and acquittal process will be important to build a sustainable Trusts & Foundations program. You will present opportunities for funders to partner with Brotherhood of St Laurence on strategic and innovative projects. By leveraging the current network of active support, fostering stakeholder relationships and connecting philanthropic interests, you will secure support to enable greater impact and brighter futures of Brotherhood of St Laurence’s beneficiaries.

Your ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholder groups both internally and externally will be essential to facilitate a co-design approach and secure funding partnerships for existing programs, new pilot programs and innovative projects that drive impact and systemic change. Proven success in writing compelling cases for support and sophisticated funding applications is essential, along with strong communication skills to convey outcomes, evidence, learnings and impact.

You will be a motivated, committed and outcomes-focussed fundraising specialist with 5+ years experience leading a successful philanthropy portfolio and current knowledge of the philanthropic landscape. Tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing or Commerce and CFRE (Certified Fund Raising Executive) are required, along with a strong alignment of values with The Brotherhood of St Laurence.

APPLY NOW if you are an experienced fundraiser with the knowledge, drive and commitment to achieve new levels of success.
