With over 400 staff working across 14 locations in metropolitan Melbourne, we combine direct action with advocacy, research, and innovation to drive widespread change.

About the role

  • Casual role involves shift work over a 24-hour roster
  • Great Dandenong location, close to public transportation, shops and cafes
  • Salary: $36.99 per hours + 25% casual loading

We are currently seeking a passionate After Hours Support Worker to join the dedicated team at our Dandenong site. Bob’s Place (Dandenong) is a residential facility with services including temporary accommodation, case management, transitional support, and other services for families, couples and singles. Bob’s Place includes 4 family units, 9 rooms for single persons and 2 for couples.

As an After Hours Support Worker, you will have the ability to juggle competing demands in a crisis setting, working with people with significant issues requiring support – such as AOD, mental health, trauma, disability and homelessness. You will also maintain the effective running of the accommodation by maintaining security and responding to critical incidents and breaches.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification and/or direct experience in the delivery of crisis and support services. You will have demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with clients and external services to achieve quality client outcomes. You will also have a positive teamwork approach as well as the ability to work autonomously. You must also be willing to fill a variety of shifts over a 24-hour roster including days, afternoon and overnight shifts.
