About the Opportunity

St John are growing our commercial services capabilities in 2021, with two positions of Business Development Executives (BDE) to join the Commercial Training and Event Health Services teams respectively. These positions are vital to support the funding of our community initiatives through the generation of new business opportunities and strategic partnerships with new and existing clients across our St John first aid training and event health services brands.

Commercial Training BDE
Due to considerable growth in our business and service offerings this exciting opportunity is available for an experienced BDE who will support the growth of our Commercial Training offerings. You will be a sales superstar and succeed in generating and converting revenue through identifying and developing new business opportunities, strong strategic partnerships and relationships in various sectors through the management of a sustained pipeline across our Commercial Training services.

Event Health Services BDE
An exciting opportunity is available for a seasoned professional BDE to drive B2B sales largely via warm leads within the Event Health Services portfolio with small-large enterprises, and increase event reach to grow the business. The successful incumbent will ensure strong partnerships are maintained, providing first aid event solutions to customers for upcoming events, and work with the Event Health Services department to ensure service delivery

About You

These roles will appeal to candidates who are keen to take ownership of a commercial division, apply innovative thinking, demonstrate strong leadership and commercial acumen to immerse themselves in every facet of the customer experience, quality and growth strategy.

For both positions we are seeking a “go getter” with a “sense of urgency” who is ambitious, eager to succeed and looking for the next step in their career. These roles are a great opportunity for a sales professional with a proven history in new business development and account management to make the respective roles their own.

Note: For Commercial Training BDE, experience with customer relationship management software, such as Salesforce and SAP is highly desirable. For Event Health Services BDE, previous event industry experience is highly desirable.

Essential Skills and Attributes (Selection Criteria):

  • Demonstrated high volume, new business development/sales experience within a commercial corporate business.
  • Proven B2B consultation and selling success, and being agile and quick to act upon business opportunities.
  • Tenacious, influential and proactive with the ability to ask for the sale.
  • Strong sales management process skills and commercial business acumen.
  • A proven track record managing contracts and agreements and growing existing accounts.
  • Highly organised and quick to grasp the concepts in providing solutions to clients.
  • Ability to liaise with clients at all levels of business.
  • Ability Tenacious, influential and proactive with the ability to ask for the sale.
  • Creates positive and strong relationships with clients in face-to-face and telephone interactions.
  • Strong computer literacy, sales administration and Microsoft Office skills.
  • Poised with professional presentation.
  • Willingness to undertake a current Police check and Working with Children Check.
