About the Role
Launch Housing is currently working with the Cities of Port Phillip and Melbourne along with other key stakeholders in the delivery of a coordinated approach to ending rough sleeping through the Port Phillip Zero Project and the Melbourne Service Coordination Project. We expect expansion beyond these areas into two further local government areas (LGA).
The projects are based on the Functional Zero framework, which has been successfully adopted in Adelaide and Brisbane in their Cities efforts to end homelessness. An integral part of the Functional Zero approach is the development and maintenance of a By Name List (BNL) of persons known to local health & homelessness services to be sleeping rough in the LGA.
The BNL Worker will be a key point of contact for the members of Melbourne Service Coordination & Port Phillip Zero Projects, and will be responsible to ensure that information provided by member agencies is done so within the applicable legislation and policies and procedures which underpin the project. The BNL Worker will ensure the functions of the role are delivered in a manner which is effective, consistent and of a high-quality.
The BNL Worker is responsible to provide regular weekly updates to partner agencies of all persons on the BNL and also monthly data reports of active & inactive clients and their inflow & outflow from sleeping rough to housing. They will also participate regular in coaching and planning sessions with interstate and international partners who are also delivering Functional Zero projects.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have a tertiary qualification in human services, social work or other relevant discipline and a demonstrated understanding of housing and homelessness policy, context and systems. You will also have superior organisational skills and demonstrated experience in the collation and analysis of data.
