About the role
This is a newly created position where you will report into the Head of Business Partnering and Talent Acquisition. We aim to make a real difference in times of need and in support of this, we are searching for an experienced IR/ ER Specialist to work across multiple stakeholder groups within the organisation. You will not only be a PaC team member but will be a pivotal contributor by providing Group wide expertise and support on all IR & ER matters.
Key responsibilities include, but not limited to:
- Work across multiple stakeholder groups within the organisation and provide Industrial & Employment Relations advice to ensure legislative compliance is met;
- Have a broad and deep understanding of workplace relations legislation, regulations and policies and procedures;
- Be the liaison for negotiations with unions, staff and other stakeholders;
- Be responsible for overseeing and supporting dispute resolution processes, award interpretation and be able to promote positive employee relations across the organisation;
- Provide proactive advice and support to the wider business regarding all other matters pertaining to relevant awards, FWA and legislative requirements;
- Assist the business with Audits and Compliance Reviews and support governance obligations.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Tertiary Qualification in HR, IR/ER, or Employment Law;
- A minimum of 5 years proven experience as an IR/ ER Specialist (in-house/employer body);
- Demonstrated experience in the delivery of timely and business focused IR/ ER advice, direction, and services;
- Proven experience with Modern Award interpretation and negotiation;
- Sound written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build long-lasting relationships;
- Confident, engaging approach and a natural ability to communicate;
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet all deadlines;
- Excellent attention to detail;
- Resilience and the ability to work in a complex and changing environment.
