About the organisation
Be Centre commenced operations in 2008 and is a self-funded charity providing one-to-one Play Therapy for children aged 3-12 years.
We are dedicated to early intervention that is evidence-based, stopping cycles of harm and helping children heal from difficulties and major trauma so they can thrive.
Our mission is to provide hope and healing through Play Therapy, and to empower children who are experiencing emotional, social or behavioural difficulties to build a healthy self-esteem and confidence.
About the role
This role is for an enthusiastic individual to launch our new brand and to orchestrate a strong strategic and tactical fundraising and marketing program to take Be Centre to the next level.
The Fundraising & Marketing Manager has overall responsibility for the fundraising, marketing and communication strategy for Be Centre.
Leading a small team, the Fundraising & Marketing Manager is responsible for ensuring the fundraising and marketing/communications strategies are implemented within budget, on time, and to the highest quality standards to align with our brand as the leading play therapy organisation in Australia. Most importantly, the role must ensure ongoing sustainability and drive new growth.
You will be hands-on with overseeing grant writing and reporting, developing innovative fundraising events (live and virtual), and stakeholder engagement. You’ll leverage your considerable experience to shape communications and engagement stories to deepen connections and expand our support base.
You will have experience in coaching/managing a small team of fundraising/marketing co-ordinators so they develop their skills and experience.

Key selection criteria
Criteria 1: Professional skills, experience and/or qualifications relating to business/marketing; proven success in fundraising, project management, initiatives to achieve set financial targets and budgets
Criteria 2: Experience and success in grant submission writing and acquittal reporting
Criteria 3: Experience in coaching/managing a small team
Criteria 4: Sound knowledge of fundraising, digital giving, volunteering, events
Criteria 5: Excellent speaking, presentation, written and interpersonal communication skills
Criteria 6: Experience in digital marketing
Criteria 7: Creativity and innovative mindset to respond quickly to opportunities
