Outlook currently has a vacancy in their Environmental Division for an outstanding leader with a strong customer focus to support the General Manager Commercial in leading Outlook’s resource recovery and recycling programs.

About the role

This position reports to the General Manager, Commercial within the Environmental Division, and has key responsibilities in the operational management of a number of site operations that support the employment of people from priority employment groups. Leading a small team, the Regional Manager’s specific responsibilities include ensuring service quality and contractual compliance, meeting budgetary and financial performance targets, staff support and management and business development, within a framework of quality, safety and continuous improvement. Having experienced strong growth over the last 12 months or so, the Environmental division delivers an important contribution to Outlook Vic’s mission of creating a more inclusive society, and is seeking a professional with strong operational management skills who is aligned to Outlook’s core values.

To be considered you will be an experienced and ethical leader, qualified with a relevant degree and with experience in a related role and/or organisation, ideally within the waste recovery/recycling sector. You will have knowledge and experience of government machinery and procurement processes and be able to demonstrate success in meeting contractual and legislative obligations with government funding. Ideally your experience will include supporting people with disability in employment settings, preparing business cases and tender bids, and skills in leading operations and programs in a relevant sector.

You will enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, working with ambiguity and problem-solving, be prepared to roll up your sleeves and be hands-on and committed to building a high performing team and culture. Naturally, you will be a skilled manager and communicator, able to engage and influence a diverse range of stakeholders and have sound financial and business acumen.
