About the organisation
South Eastern Melbourne PHN (SEMPHN) has the key objectives of:
- Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of medical services for patients, particularly those at risk of poor health outcomes, and
- Improving coordination of care to ensure patients receive the right care in the right place at the right time.
About the role
We are looking to appoint a part time Company Secretary who will ensure that SEMPHN complies with its statutory and professional obligations at all time. The Company Secretary will perform the duties and responsibilities as required by the Corporations Act (CA), SEMPHN’s Constitution and any other applicable relevant legislation or regulations.
The Company Secretary will take direction from the Board in relation to governance and meeting actions and the Chief Executive Officer in relation to day to day matters. The Company Secretary will at all times provide prompt and courteous communication with SEMPHN Board members; Committee and Council members; the Chief Executive Officer and other stakeholders.
The role will also arrange and coordinate Board meetings including agendas; preparation of agendas and action lists; development of governance related papers; minute taking etc.
