About the Opportunities
Real Therapy Solutions now have two exciting opportunities for Senior Behaviour Support Practitioners to join their clinical teams in Bella Vista or Campbelltown, on a full-time basis.
This is an exciting opportunity that plays a pivotal role in supervising and mentoring new behavioural practitioners, with plenty of leadership support provided.
Reporting to the Clinic Manager and Therapy Manager, you will be responsible for providing behaviour support services to both adults and children with disabilities and Autism, both in-clinic and via home visits. Your duties will include, but will not be limited to:
- Participate in our leadership trainings and mentoring program;
- Assist in the development of policies and process both in our competency based training program for practitioners and our overall service delivery of behaviour services;
- Mentor and train Behaviour Support Practitioners to exercise independent clinical judgment concerning the selection and application of principles, methods and techniques of clinical assessment, therapeutic recommendations, and implementation methods; and
- Write your own Positive Behaviour Support Plan’s (PBSP) as part of a small caseload, as well as monitor and approve PBSP’s developed by other Behaviour Support Practitioners.
About You
Real Therapy Solutions are seeking candidates with demonstrated experience in the disability sector, who are passionate about supporting those living with disabilities. If you are an experienced Behavioural Support Practitioner looking for career progression, this is the perfect opportunity for you!
The successful candidates will have experience in a Behaviour Support Practitioner role, who are committed to working in the disability sector in a high performance team. You should have working knowledge of positive behaviour support practices, relevant legislation and NSW policy, but a formal qualification is not essential.
As you will be working closely with a number of clients, families and other stakeholders, you must possess excellent interpersonal communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport throughout the Real Therapy Solutions community.
Experience providing behaviour intervention and support to adults with a disability and complex challenging behaviours is essential. Successful candidates will have knowledge of current, evidence-based practices and relevant policies relating to the provision of behaviour support.
