About the organisation
The College of Intensive Care Medicine (CICM) is the body responsible for intensive care medicine specialist training and education in Australia and New Zealand. The College provides a training program of high quality, supervision in practical aspects of training, administration of the written and clinical examinations and workshops.
This is a key leadership role for the College. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the purpose of this position is to provide leadership, strategic and operational direction for the member services d portfolio. This includes core functions such as regional support, member engagement, conferences, courses and events, communications and our policy and advocacy area including external stakeholder engagement.
The College has recently endorsed a new strategic plan and supporting digital strategy which sets out an ambitious transformation agenda over the coming years. A strong commitment to member engagement, membership value, innovation and increasing our impact in the sector and community are core elements of our strategic direction that the GM Member Services will lead.
This role gives an experienced leader the opportunity to build on our already strong member-centric culture to evolve our member engagement for the future, and to increase the impact of the college through high quality services for our members and strong relationships and impact with our stakeholders and community.

Primary Job Purpose
- To provide the College with strategic leadership of Member Services and manage the internal team and services to engage and strengthen the experience and engagement of our members
- To enhance the impact, effectiveness and external reputation of the College through stakeholder relationships and policy development
Your leadership of member services incorporates regional support, member engagement, policy and advocacy, conferences, events and communications.
A well credentialed networker and communicator, you have a track record of capitalising on opportunities for innovation and improvement in a collaborative, member-centric manner.
