Phantm Pty Ltd is a new Australian start-up contributing to circular economy solutions for organic waste and plastics. Phantm is developing market-leading technology that converts organic waste streams into a compostable natural material that is fully recyclable, can be composted in soil, and biodegrades in ocean environments. This will be the first commercial enterprise of its kind in Australia. And the company has plans to extend the core science and technology to countries across the Asia Pacific initially and subsequently broader global markets.

Reporting to the Managing Director, this pivotal role will oversee key commercial operational activities of Phantm Pty Ltd, ensuring effective and efficient policies and procedures are in place and identifying opportunities for business improvement across the organisation. Additionally, the role will be responsible for developing and managing the company’s impact measurement framework.

Making strategic and informed decisions and reviewing data, reports and budgets will be important to ensure Phantm survives and thrives through continuous growth and improvement agendas. You will lead the organisation’s research into industry specific areas of focus and manage a world-class impact monitoring and evaluation framework. You will support the Executive with strategy, help develop business plans, budgets, and design and implement best practice team initiatives and HR policies to support growth and help create and foster an organisation renowned for how it treats its staff and external stakeholders.

This role requires someone with an open, fun, and agile attitude that wants to help build Australia’s next epic impact venture. You will be a passionate, dedicated and ethical leader with demonstrated experience overseeing operations and business activities that produce results and lead to organisational growth and success. You are an innovative, people-focused engagement champion with a track record in developing high performing teams.

You will have an entrepreneurial growth mindset of learning and continuous improvement, strong commercial acumen, excellent interpersonal and communications skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Established networks with corporates or SMEs will be highly regarded.
