The Australian Sports Foundation (ASF) has a clear vision… an Australia where the enjoyment, health and social benefits of sport are accessible to all. The ASF’s mission is to raise funds to eliminate the barriers to sports participation, engagement and development in Australia. Its’ main offering is a fundraising platform enabling sports clubs to raise funds from their local communities via tax deductible donations received in partnership with the ASF. It also runs grant programs, distributing funds raised from philanthropic sources to help more Australians engage with sport.

The ASF aims to double philanthropic contributions to sport to $100m a year by 2025. Through this transformational development and growth stage, many systems and processes will need to be developed, implemented and instilled into the organisation. This newly created role will report directly to the CEO and work closely with the Head of Digital and other members of the team to support their respective business goals in a cohesive overarching strategy.

You will work collaboratively across the business to oversee planning and execution of multiple business improvement projects, including those involving IT infrastructure, cyber security enhancement, workflows, document management systems and accounting systems. In consultation with internal stakeholders, you will establish the business requirements and develop clear project plans including budgets, milestones and resource allocation, including engagement of third-party providers.

This pivotal and hands-on project management role requires a practical mindset with creative business acumen and the ability to lead multiple complex projects. You will have the ability and willingness to contribute towards outcomes through strategy, plus be actively involved in the day-to-day business tasks.

You will bring passion and knowledge for all things project management, systems and operations, along with demonstrated experience in a similar role involving planning and executing IT, technology and wider business improvement projects across multiple disciplines. Tertiary qualifications in project management or business administration is required. A keen and genuine interest in sport, and an understanding of the philanthropy and not-for-profit sector is beneficial.

APPLY NOW if you have proven success in leading, delivering and implementing business improvement and IT projects, and the desire to play an instrumental role in Australian Sports Foundation’s next growth phase.
