About the role
The role of the Senior Children’s Practitioner is to support other practitioners to build their practice in providing therapeutic services to children during and after separation of their parents, as well as providing some direct service to clients. The Senior Children’s Practitioner will be expected to work collaboratively with RACR other relevant services to build practice capability, establish effective referral and shared case management strategies, and, as appropriate, to adopt a whole of family approach.
This is a 12 month’s fixed term contract, based in Deakin, ACT.
To be successful in this role, you are required to possess:
1. A tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, family therapy or counselling or other relevant qualification.
2. Significant demonstrated experience in working with children and ability to communicate with children, their carers, colleagues and other workers.
3. Demonstrated experience and skills in coaching and supporting practitioners in developing their professional development.
4. A sophisticated understanding of family and domestic violence and the relevant safety responses.

Salary & Benefits
The salary on offer is in the range of $90,441.52 to 95,758.42 per annum plus superannuation for full time. As a Public Benevolent Institution (PBI), RACR employees also receive tax-effective salary packaging opportunities, thus significantly increasing the value of your take-home pay.
According to the RACR Enterprise Agreement, the successful candidate will have access to generous leave provisions, annual leave loading, special paid leave during annual holiday shutdown period and flexible working arrangements.
