About the role

Alumni of the University of Tasmania are an integral part of the University’s vibrant global family. The University envisions a major step change in its engagement with alumni from 2022 and beyond and is now seeking the appointment of an Associate Director, Alumni Relations who can take this strategic priority forward. Reporting to the Executive Director, Advancement, the Associate Director will lead a small team of skilled professionals to drive and deliver a large and complex portfolio of alumni relations strategies and related activities that foster strong alumni engagement, build loyalty and institutional pride and generate tangible benefits for the University.

The successful candidate will have experience in a comparative role in alumni engagement program management either at leadership level or with aspirations to grow their career to this level of leadership. This experience will have been gained in a large, complex organization, ideally in higher education. The ability to manage and continuously develop a high performing team will be essential. A commitment to the University, its strategic vision and the ability to champion the University of Tasmania to its communities will be fundamental.
