About the organisation
Greater Dandenong City Council intends to create a wholly owned subsidiary entity, South East Leisure Pty Ltd, to manage Council’s four major leisure facilities:
- Dandenong Oasis (Oasis)
· Noble Park Aquatic Centre (NPAC)
· Springers Leisure Centre (Springers)
· Dandenong Stadium
About the role
Council is seeking to appoint a Chair and Non-Executive Directors to its independent Board. The Board of South East Leisure will oversee the operation of Council’s four key leisure facilities within Greater Dandenong and will be responsible for managing these facilities in a commercial and sustainable manner to ensure they meet the needs of the Dandenong community and deliver high quality service to users over many years. South East Leisure will also be actively involved in providing ongoing advice to Council as it considers the replacement and design for the current Oasis facility and future needs of Dandenong Stadium.
Applications are sought from candidates with demonstrated and relevant Board experience (including Chair experience for the Chairperson) and excellent communication skills. Essential areas of experience and skills sought are:

- Risk and Safety
- Legal and Governance
- Finance
- Leisure and Recreation
