For over 60 years, researchers at St Vincent’s Institute of Medical Research (SVI) have been conducting medical research into the cause, prevention and treatment of common diseases such as type 1 diabetes, heart disease, cancer, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, arthritis and Alzheimer’s disease. Based in Fitzroy within the St Vincent’s Hospital campus, on the edge of Melbourne’s CBD, SVI has a dedicated team of 180 staff and students who are committed to improving the health and life expectancy of Australians through medical research.

The SVI Foundation was established in 2004.  The focus of the SVI Foundation is on building relationships that advance the mission of SVI, by creating genuine engagement with donors and stakeholders to inspire increasing involvement and investment.

About the role

The Role

We are currently recruiting for a part-time Donor Support Officer working 3 days a week.  This role is integral in assisting the Foundation team to focus on the strategic fundraising direction of the Institute. You will provide core administrative functions to ensure maximum success for all fundraising activities and initiatives. Essential in the role is the maintenance and improvement of our donor database to assess and strategically track donor progress. You will also play a pivotal role in providing exceptional customer service to donors and the public.

Who we are seeking:

Our ideal candidate will enjoy a varied role and be a multi-tasker with superior organisational, administrative and IT skills. Strong and demonstrated database experience in CRM Raiser’s Edge and the ability to use database information in a strategic manner will be critical in this position. As a proactive team player you will be able to manage competing priorities whilst maintaining high attention to detail. You will be an excellent communicator with exceptional customer service skills.

Salary: commensurate with experience ranging from $65,000 to $75,000 per annum (pro rata) which includes $15,900 FBT exempt salary packaging, plus 9.5% superannuation and generous.
