About the role
The opportunity and role
We are confident about the future for our clients and our team are experiencing a growing workload as we settle into 2021. To support this, we are looking for research and evaluation specialists eager to work on a diverse range of projects for our purpose driven clients.
At Cube Group, you can expect to work across sectors to design, develop and lead process and outcomes evaluation projects. So, what might a typical week at Cube look like?
- Undertake intensive desktop research into existing policies, best practices, contemporary literature, independent reviews and reports (such as Royal Commission findings) to find insights into key themes and trends impacting public purpose organisations.
- Take responsibility for leading, coordinating and/or supporting consultations that bring together clients and a range of stakeholders across industry, government, and the broader community, in face to face – or virtual – settings. Drawing on your communication skills you will distil key themes and provide succinct summaries of these sessions that help co-create solutions and a shared way forward.
- Development of program logic or theory of change and other associated evaluation methodologies for initiatives and programs within the health, human services, emergency management and other sectors.
- Analyse client data (qualitative and quantitative) to identify trends in population needs or service delivery and translate these trends into insightful observations to form the basis for our recommendations.
- Design, build and oversee a survey to determine behaviours and attitudes of key stakeholders and analyse the results, to bring the voice of key people to influence important decisions.
- Drafting engaging and compelling strategies, plans, reports or advice for senior decision-makers in not-for-profit or government organisations. Your written contribution may include setting up templates, preparation of charts and other visuals, developing comprehensive reports and proof reading.
- Join in dynamic discussions at our team meeting, where you will hear key project updates and have the opportunity to provide your own insights. We’ll acknowledge recent birthdays (perhaps even sing!) and coordinate our next team get together.
What you will bring
We’re looking for curious, dedicated, insightful and practical team members. People with a sense of spirit, who seek to drive positive outcomes and make a real difference through rewarding careers.
- A bachelors or master’s degree in a relevant field and / or a post-graduate qualification in evaluation
- Demonstrated experience in design, development and implementation of evaluations and a range of methodologies, including program logic and theory of change
- Exposure to social policy, health and human services or emergency management sectors would be ideal
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated proficiency in interpreting, analysing and making sense of qualitative and quantitative data
- Great writing skills and the ability to convey information with simplicity and clarity
- Stakeholder consultation and engagement
- Audience and setting appropriate verbal communication skills
- Project management skills with the capability and competence to work across a range of projects, balance priorities, work to timelines and adapt to the situation at hand
- Experience managing demands and expectations of both internal and client stakeholders
- A connection to Cube’s values and a desire to contribute to meaningful change
- Consulting skills are highly desirable
